...is exactly the kind of manipulative copy I refuse to write.
Every day, behavioral research is weaponized to commandeer attention, exploit insecurities, and drive consumption at any cost.
I learned this the hard way.

between econ and buyer psychology classes

acting classes be like...

first prosecco celebrating a client launch

writing copy at a Thai pool bar

yes, I'm looking at you, rebel

copy cat and copy cathy writing in Prague
Working in corporate product design, I mastered the techniques that hit metrics but left me feeling like I'd betrayed myself... and the humans on the other side of the screen.
That's when I realized:
good marketing should boost people, not just conversions.
So I built a different approach where decision science and conscience work together.
Mirror Messaging
While taking acting classes & geeking out over research, I noticed a strong parallel between method acting and behavioral economics:
Method acting is behavioral economics... felt.
That deep psychological insight that cracks open human nature?
That's what researchers study.
That's what method actors tap into.
So I started doing something no other copywriter I know has done:
Taking exercises from acting class and writing from my clients' audience's POV... literally.
This became the foundation of Mirror Messaging:
DEEP LISTENING
Understanding your audience through both data and stories, giving them your know-like-trust before asking for it back
DECISION SCIENCE (BEHAVIORAL ECON.)
Interpreting patterns based on research, without any manipulation or exploitation
METHOD EMPATHY
Walking in their shoes, especially when uncomfortable
Because the biggest battles are fought inside
RESPONSE LOOPS
Using real-time feedback from clients & audiences to shape every message and create an evolving conversation rather than a rigid campaign
The result?
🩶 Copy that feels meaningful and empowering
(No manipulation required)
🩶 Sales messaging that resonates because it's real
(Not because it creates artificial urgency)
🩶 Offers that sell because they genuinely serve
(Revolutionary, I know)
I built this for rebels who:
☑️ Think "pain-point agitation" sounds like a bad 80s porn film
☑️ Believe marketing should empower, not extort
☑️ Know in their bones there's a better way
Because here's what I know to be true:
Mission-driven business founders don't weaponize marketing.
But use it to heal.
They don't manipulate their ideal client.
But see them deeply.
They doesn't trap attention.
But earn it with honesty.
This isn't just another framework.
This is business building on a foundation of empathy.
Science meets soul.
Metrics meet meaning.
Copy meets conscience.
